Engagement Manager


Position Description
Visionary Access, Inc. is seeking an business development/sales focused Engagement Manager to welcome investors, executives, and entrepreneurs into the Visionary Network using Visionary’s proprietary methodology, while matching Visionary’s paying members with the clients, investors, and strategic partners they are seeking.

The Engagement Manager position at Visionary is a daily, in NYC office consulting role for an entrepreneurial individual with significant sales, business development, and/or finance-investment brokering experience/aptitude, compensated with a % of client retainers and commissions, as well as possible future equity ownership based on performance.

The Engagement Manager will: 1) research online profiles and take notes in the company’s CRM, 2) contact prospects by phone/email with an invitation into the Visionary Network and regarding matched opportunities, 3) coordinate all steps to successfully match Visionary clients using Visionary’s matching system, 4) organize presentations for Visionary’s clients at Visionary’s regional events.

The Engagement Manager will use Visionary’s unique marketing methodology and every day be required to process at least 50 telephone calls, follow up emails, and call/meeting notes via Visionary’s CRM. This is an outbound telemarketing sales role using a CRM.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Previous roll up your sleeves, hands-on client servicing experience
  • Ability and willingness to make cold calls as you will be building (and servicing) your own book of business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent internet research skills
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Desire to have fun!

Sales Associate

Position Details: Visionary Access, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate with sales aptitude and experience managing a sales pipeline. The Sales Associate will evaluate Access Survey responses (www.visionaryacess.net/survey) regarding business relationships sought, host prospect Welcoming/Review Session, extend approved Membership invitations, and sell Visionary’s menu of network access services, all using Visionary’s proprietary methodology.

The Sales Associate position at Visionary is a daily, in NYC office consulting role for an entrepreneurial individual with significant sales experience/aptitude, compensated with a draw on generous sales commissions, as well as equity ownership based on performance.

The Sales Associate will: 1) evaluate Access Survey responses and take notes in the company’s CRM, 2) follow up on Access Survey submissions and contact leading entrepreneurs, executives, and investors by phone/email with an invitation into the Visionary Network, 3) coordinate all steps in the sales process – build sales materials, draft proposals, manage a sales CRM pipeline etc. The Sales Director will manage a team of Sales Associates and will be responsible for the overall performance of the sales department to achieve sales targets.

The Sales Associate will use Visionary’s sales/CRM methodology and every day be required to process at least 50 telephone calls, follow up emails, and call/meeting notes via Visionary’s CRM. This is an outbound telemarketing sales role using a CRM.

Position Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited institution is required.
  • Outgoing personality with the ability and willingness to make cold calls, speak with people at all professional levels, including senior level executives
  • Proficient in the use of the internet for research and alternative forms of sourcing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and high organizational skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team atmosphere but also independently
  • Desire to learn about the business and to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment

Intern

Position Description: The Visionary Internship is an unpaid part-time in NYC office or remote program for a student or recent graduate seeking experience in a start-up environment and to rapidly build their network of business relationships. Interns will research and reach out by email to top tier entrepreneurs, investors, executives and VIPs in the Visionary Network and new invitees regarding Visionary Members seeking their connection. Full training will be offered, including the advanced use of LinkedIn and Salesforce. Interns will work closely under the leadership of senior team members. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter who wants to learn about investment banking, venture/private equity investing, entrepreneurship, sales/marketing, and network matching technology.

Interns should be proficient in the use of the internet for research - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work within tight deadlines - high organizational skills and dependability - Demonstrated ability to work in a team atmosphere, but also independently - Excitement about Visionary and passion to go the extra mile on mission critical assignments

Compensation:
  • This is an unpaid internship
  • Commission on meetings arranged and new sales generated
  • Reimbursement of travel expenses
  • Many new business connections based on Visionary’s marketing methodology
